While I was thinking more along the lines of encouraging our kind host to attempt to implement more of the games features, these are some good ideas too.
I had thought another idea that would serve as a complete distraction, a server wide make a nooby day. Contestants would have a certain amount of time to start from level one and level up their nooby and we could add some requirements and limitations. Maybe a Guild could be formed for the event and all contestants would have to be in the Guild to participate. Full PK must be enabled on either server...especially including guildmates. Gears should be limited to NPC / dropped gears only...no manufactured equipments. And ofc outside assistance would be forbidden, no money, no powerleveling, no help from anyone except perhaps allowing parties with guildmates.
Haven't thought much on the reward. I fear if its a great reward, it might encourage cheating and stir up QQing. But I guess if ya gotta cheat to win a nooby contest, I guess you'd deserve top honors as n00b of the month, lol.
Suggestions for activities?
Re: Suggestions for activities?
I like the idea of make a nooby char day however it should be done on the x200 server with blue name protection on.
i'll be game to do this although will need to do it on a weekend where nobody works cos if someones working it affects grind time.

Re: Suggestions for activities?
Without PK? I guess you could do it either way, I just thought it would be funny stuff if we could have completely not serious noob fights along the way...add some small risk if you will. But it would be best if "non-participants" don't interfere.

Re: Suggestions for activities?
I got a add-on to your idea. How about we drop the rates to 1x like the real server while that event is taking place. Gives people the feeling of being blessed for having the 200x rates. Also, it serves as the following:
1) Avoiding classes like WR and WF from getting way furthur ahead with their mobbing skills since players would do quests now.
2) Anti interference tool to avoid people killing mobs which offer no exp. (Probably double coin drop to compensate)
3) Indirectly stops the QQ on "I LEVEL TOO SLOW." Yeah try the real server rates now!

Interesting thoughts. I think most who've played an "official" server already appreciate the rates though and I figure nerfing the server wouldn't really be fair to those who may choose not to participate. Whatever the "X" is I'm guessing isn't really so important.oration wrote:I got a add-on to your idea. How about we drop the rates to 1x like the real server while that event is taking place. Each player has their choice of class, so whining about how poorly a weak leveling class performs in a leveling contest is kinda like crying becaue you lost a motocross race on a bicycle. I would do absolutely crappy with a MG. But someone who's well familiar with the class could be a strong contender. I'm thinking its more important how well one can use the "tools" they choose.
Maybe it could be something like a pedigree show...have an overall winner and a best in class as well.
One of the big problems most will face is low coin. It takes fewer kills to get your early levels meaning your early coinage will be weak. So an interesting thing to consider is how to spend that coin most effectively in a balance between skills and equipments.
While WF and WR do tend to level fast, they may not have enough time to take full advantage of their capabilities. For example, if the WF wants to catch a pet other than the starter pet, there's a quest chain to do. That's time consuming and the player needs to decide whether its worth the effort or not.
For the WR, there aren't that many decent mobs to aoe grind at early levels. And even at that, their young aoe's are weak. By the time they've leveled to the point where they can, a mage class who's been killing faster all day long is already ahead and it may be the WR who needs to catch up.
I think mostly its just about having some fun. Putting everyone together in a "nooby" guild kinda brings us all together. And gives us a chance to see what we might do from scratch in a few short hours.

Re: Suggestions for activities?
Okay, after much of using my NOODLES, i thought of a FanTasTic idea. Please help me on critically analysing it, and making it come true!
