no need.
1) its not that expensive to try crafting till you get 3-4 sockets.
2) you can add sockets by donating

hmmm what about weapon overlays? Like for example:

I have the custom spear (Laughter Strike) which is warsoul G16 .... sometimes it gets boring looking at the weapon all the time (even though it IS beautiful) but would like to have some kinda 'weapon overlay' whereby its the same weapon (skill, power, etc) but buying an overlay would make it look like a giant stick with a nail in it

Same way fashion works , but fashion for weapon......does that make sense?

I think it would be funny.

Imagine someone running about with a wet kipper but its really a blue cross? hehehe

omg, some ppl need just 1 look at a player to realize if he is dangerous or not. what shall we do if this idea comes true? XDD

It would be a thing of beauty if weapon overlays came true. But only if there was a "Big Stick with Nail in it" skin.... Cos I just wanna beat someone with a big stick with a nail in it !!! Gah !! lol (repressed anger anyone?)

I'd love weapon overlays. I was running around as 40th lvl and got challenged to a duel by someone with big green glowing weapons.

I was obviously a newbie and underpowered. I would desperately love to walk around @ lvl100+ (once I reach it) looking like I did then and surprise the snot out of those bullies. Maybe a 1st lvl club (WB) overlay.
