Hairstyle/WF tail edit guide and more. (New!)

Post by Shara » 09 Jan 2013, 00:00

Small/simple guide on how to edit hairstyles, WF(Venomancer) tail color, hair for WB(Barb) and more.
(May be updated from time to time if more things have been found.)

Be warned and remember, you are changing files at your own risk! ONLY change files as shown in this guide if you want a different hairstyle or such, we are not responsible if you change any other files and mess up your client, so make back-ups of the file(s) you change or be sure you can change it back if it goes wrong.
You can always ask something to be checked/tried out before doing it yourself.
If something did go wrong you're always welcome to ask for help.

Ok so since someone had problems with understanding this guide, I've decided to re-upload the plain/simple guide posted by GM Yviene.
Link to picture/image:

(Sorry that it's a bit unsharp, will upload a sharper one soon.)

Folders to open, notifications, etc may be shown by a colored square or circle.

Beware with the WF/Venomancer tail color change, it may only work on x1000, as some patch from PWI prevents/fixes the tail color glitch.

(Thanks Yviene for the image with codes. ;) )

Be sure to read the first 10 steps of "Hairstyle editing for fashion hair and such" as you will need to know how to find the files to edit other things listed below for WB's, etc.

Hairstyle editing for fashion hair and such.
1, Right-click your desktop game patcher/launcher and open the file directory (folder the shortcut is from.)
(You should be in a folder called patcher.)

2, Go back(up) one folder to get into the LMS Perfect World folder.
Image

3, Open the element folder.
Image

4, Open the userdata folder.
Image

5, Open the character folder.
Image

6, Open the customize folder.
Image

Here you will see a small list of different folders, each with an even and uneven number.
The even folders are for male characters, uneven for female characters, each 10/11, 20/21 is male/female per folder for each class.
(Do not close the folder just leave it open on the background since you'll need it in later steps.)

Image

Each folder contains either contains files that are in your Presets list when you create a character/change your character look in-game, or may not contain any files at all, in which case the preset files are hidden. (Don't bother to try and find them..)
Image

7, Go online ingame, and either change your character look with a scroll at a Cosmetics NPC, or create a character if you're new or make a new character, then click the save button in the Presets tab after creating a nice character, or if you already have one just hit save..
Your saved file will now show up as numbers, date/day/time etc in the Presets list in-game.
Image

8, Get back to your customize folder with the even/uneven numbers. (As shown below step 6.)

9, Find and open the folder that contains your saved file, it will show up just as in your in-game Presets list, date/day/time etc.
Image

10, Open your saved file, it should show a whole list of character codes and numbers. (It usually opens automatically, if not, select notepad program from the list.)
Image

11, Scroll down the list untill you see the [Hair] part.
Image

The two numbers will be the hair your char currently has when you saved it in your Presets list.
Image

12, Pick a hairstyle code numbers from the hairstyle you wish to put on your character, (Check picture link at the top of the topic for hairstyle codes) and copy them.
Image

13, Go back to your saved file from your Presets list at the [Hair] section, and put in the numbers from the hairstyle code into the already existing numbers.
Do not remove the spaces between the words and the numbers or it will give an error and not accept it.
Image

14, Hit ctrl+s or any other option/button to save the changed in the file.

15, Go back to your game, and click the file you saved in the Presets list to load your new hairstyle, and there you have it, fashion or other hair on your character.

WF(Venomancer) tail color editing.
1, Pick a color you wish for your tail, for example blue/dark-blue, give that color to your hair, and save a file in the Presets tab.
Image
Beware, not every tail will give the same color result, if you want pink (white hair color) or purple (blue hair color) type tail, use the fluffy tail preset for your WF.

2, Open your saved file and scroll down all the way to the bottom. Be sure to check that the bodyID is 4 (green square).
Your hair color will be at the top (red square), your tail color will be on the bottom. (blue square)
Image

3, Copy your hair color numbers (red square) and replace the tail color numbers (blue square), and press ctrl+s or such to save the changes.
Image

4, Go back to your game and click your saved file to load the new tail color.
Image
If you want you can experiment with different colors to get a different tail color, just be sure to follow these 4 steps.

WB(Barb) adding hair and color edit.
1, When creating a (new) character, choose the looks, etc, and save your look in the Presets tab, of if you already have a character just save.

2, Open your saved file with notepad and scroll down untill you see the [Hair] section and [Color] section.
Image

3, Choose a code from the hairstyle you wish to put on your WB from the image on the top of the topic and replace only the 0 that will be behind "idHairModel" if you wish to add hair without detail but with color. Press ctrl+s to save the changes you made in the file.
(You could also add the idHairTex numbers but whether you like it is up to you.)
Image

4, Go in-game, select your saved file, and go to the Colors tab when creating or changing the character look, and choose a color you wish for your hair with eye color.

5, Open/go back to your saved file in notepad and go back to the [Color] section (from step 2).

6, Copy-paste the numbers behind "colorEyeBall" (red square) to the "colorHair" numbers (green square) and hit ctrl+s or such to save the changes.
Image

7, Go in-game, select your saved file in the Presets tab, and enjoy your hair or other fashion thing on your WB(Barb).
Image
There may be a difference in color with the hair, so just experiment with it a bit untill you get the right color you want for it.

Hope it helps, feel free to post or private message me any questions and such and I will try to help.
