Can't start game...

Hi, im Dezzik, i've been playing LMSPW for a couple months now, and it's the best i've found. However, I seem to have encountered a problem. When i click on the icon to play, it gives me the wierdest error. I can't type what it says because my keyboard doesn't have those letters 
all i know is it says Direct3D and DirectX in the error. If anyone is having this same error, or knows what's going on, help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
