I think this is a bug. Safe mode (if I'm right) shows a shield icon by the mini map. My wife has been PK'd several times in safe mode. Someone said as soon as you reach lvl 30 it's automatic. (They said something about the names being in white meaning you're in PK mode). She's had 2 lvl 30 characters assassinated by elven archers and is starting to not like them. She doesn't want to do PK. Are we missing something?

Are you on the 200x (PvE) server or on the 1000x (PvP) server? Maybe you're not aware of what those abbreviations stand for.
PvP = Player vs Player
PvE = Player vs Environment
So if you're on the 1000x server, you can not turn off PvP mode. You will always be able to get PK'd (= Player Killed) after lvl 30.

When you get PK-ed just ask for help from strong people. I am sure they will help you.

She grabbed one of her more powerful characters and went hunting but it took too long to get there and they were gone. I think she's toying around with the idea of putting a reward for her assassin's location. If someone helps her find them she may give reward. I know she doesn't want anyone to harass them, she doesn't want anyone else to kill them. She just want to kill them back once and call it even.
They shot her new character from behind just outside a safezone then disappeared - technically not against the rules, but rude enough to warrant revenge.
